The Core i3-10100F is the graphics-free version of Intel’s 10th generation Core i3-10100. With four cores and Hyper-Threading for eight threads it handles everyday desktop work comfortably and, paired with a modest graphics card, makes a capable entry-level gaming processor. It is a boxed retail part and comes with Intel’s stock cooler, so it is a complete, low-cost option for a new LGA1200 build or for replacing the processor in an existing 400 or 500 series system.

Cores and clocks

The four cores run at a 3.6GHz base and turbo to 4.3GHz, with 6MB of Intel Smart Cache. The multiplier is locked, so it runs at its rated speeds on any compatible board without tuning, and the 65W TDP keeps the boxed cooler quiet in normal use.

Platform and memory

It fits socket LGA1200 and supports DDR4-2666 memory up to 128GB. Sixteen PCIe lanes from the processor serve the graphics card. Because the F variant has no integrated graphics, a graphics card must be fitted for the PC to display anything, which is why it suits a gaming build rather than a basic office machine.
