The Core i3-9100 is a straightforward four-core desktop processor from Intel’s 9th generation. It gives an office or family PC enough performance for web, email, documents and video without the cost of a larger chip, and its built-in UHD Graphics 630 removes the need for a graphics card. It is supplied as an OEM tray part with no cooler, which makes it a common choice for system builders and for replacing the processor in an existing 300 series machine where the original cooler is retained.

Cores and clocks

Four cores and four threads run from a 3.6GHz base to a 4.2GHz maximum turbo, with 6MB of Intel Smart Cache. The 65W TDP and locked multiplier make it easy to cool quietly with a basic cooler.

Platform and memory

It fits socket LGA1151 on Intel 300 series chipset boards and supports DDR4-2400 memory up to 64GB. Sixteen PCIe 3.0 lanes from the processor are available should a graphics card be added. Intel UHD Graphics 630 provides the display outputs through the motherboard.

Packaging

Tray (OEM) processor with no cooler or retail box. Punch can supply it fitted as part of a repair or refresh of an existing Intel 300 series PC.
