The Kingston NV2 is a value-focused Gen 4×4 NVMe SSD. This 4TB model reads at up to 3,500MB/s and writes at up to 2,800MB/s, which is several times faster than any SATA SSD and comfortably quick for booting Windows, loading games and moving large files. Because it is single-sided it fits in thin laptops and small-form-factor systems as well as standard desktop M.2 slots.

Capacity without compromise

4TB is enough for a full operating system install, a large game library and a working archive of photos or video on one drive. That avoids the usual split between a small fast drive and a slower bulk drive, and keeps everything on NVMe speeds. Kingston rates this capacity at 1,280TB written over its life, so normal desktop use will not wear it out.

Low power, low heat

Kingston specifies the NV2 for lower power draw and lower heat than higher-end Gen4 drives, which suits systems without a dedicated M.2 heatsink and laptops where battery life matters. It runs at 0 to 70 degrees C operating and is rated for two million hours MTBF.

The drive is a standard 22 x 80 x 2.2mm M.2 2280 module weighing 7g and is backed by Kingston’s limited three-year warranty with free technical support. Punch Technology can install it as the boot or storage drive in a new build.
