Gigabyte B850M Gaming X WIFI6E Micro-ATX AM5 Motherboard
A compact AM5 gaming board with PCIe 5.0 graphics and storage, 2.5Gb LAN and Wi-Fi 6E for Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 systems.
The Gigabyte B850M Gaming X WIFI6E is the step up from a basic B850M board for anyone building a small Ryzen gaming PC. It supports every AM5 processor from Ryzen 7000 to Ryzen 9000, its four DDR5 slots take up to 256GB at speeds up to 8200 MT/s with EXPO or XMP, and the reinforced PCIe 5.0 x16 slot is ready for current and next-generation graphics cards. Punch can supply it fitted in a new Micro-ATX or Mini-tower build.
Storage and expansion
Both M.2 slots are wired directly to the processor. The primary slot supports PCIe 5.0 x4 drives from 2280 up to 25110 length, and the second runs at PCIe 4.0 x4 for 2280 or 22110 drives; both are fitted with heatsinks and tool-free latches. Four SATA 6Gb/s ports with RAID support handle hard drives, and a PCIe 3.0 x16-length slot running at x4 remains for an add-in card.
Connectivity
The rear panel offers a USB Type-C port at USB 3.2 Gen 2, a red USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 and four USB 2.0 ports, HDMI 2.1 and two DisplayPort 1.4 outputs for the processor’s Radeon graphics, a PS/2 port, Realtek 2.5Gb Ethernet, two Wi-Fi antenna connectors, three audio jacks and a Q-Flash Plus button. The Realtek RTL8852CE module provides Wi-Fi 6E on the 2.4, 5 and 6GHz bands with 160MHz channels and Bluetooth 5.3. Front-panel headers add a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, two Gen 1 and four USB 2.0 ports.
Cooling and lighting
Four fan and pump headers with water-flow detection, three addressable RGB Gen 2 headers and one RGB header, a reset button, TPM header and Q-Flash Plus BIOS recovery keep a small build tidy and easy to service.
