A single internal controller that puts fan speeds, Corsair RGB lighting and case temperatures under iCUE software control.

The Commander PRO is aimed at builds with more fans and lighting than the motherboard can sensibly manage on its own. It takes up to six fans, either 3-pin DC or 4-pin PWM, and drives them from iCUE with custom curves tied to whichever sensor you choose, including a zero-RPM mode that stops fans completely when the system is cool. Two RGB channels connect Corsair’s individually addressable fans and light strips (through their RGB hubs), so lighting across the whole case is synchronised with any other iCUE devices such as a Corsair keyboard, cooler or power supply.

Temperature monitoring

Four thermal sensors on flying leads can be placed wherever you want to measure, for instance at the intake, near the graphics card or by the radiator exhaust. iCUE shows the readings live and lets fan curves respond to them rather than to a single motherboard sensor, which gives more useful control in a case with distinct hot and cool zones.

Expansion and fitting

Two internal USB 2.0 headers on the controller pass through to other iCUE hardware or front-panel USB ports, useful on motherboards that are short of internal USB headers. The unit is low profile at 15.5mm and comes with adhesive mounting tape, four fan extension cables and two RGB LED hub cables. Punch can fit and configure a Commander PRO as part of a new build.
