Why choose an RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell workstation?
The RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell is NVIDIA's most powerful professional desktop graphics card. Its 96GB of memory is three times what an RTX 5090 offers, so a single card can hold a large language model, a film-quality scene or a dense simulation that would otherwise have to be split up or cut down. The memory is error-correcting (ECC), which matters for long AI training runs and engineering work where one flipped bit can ruin a result.
It also brings the professional features that consumer cards lack: enterprise drivers tested and certified with professional applications, and Multi-Instance GPU, which splits one card into as many as four isolated GPUs so several people or jobs can share it safely.
Which RTX PRO 6000 edition do you need?
NVIDIA makes the RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell in three editions. They share the same GPU and 96GB of memory; what changes is the power and cooling, which decides how many cards fit in one system.
| Edition | Power | Design | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Workstation Edition | 600W | Double flow-through fans | One or two cards in a workstation, maximum performance per card |
| Max-Q Workstation Edition | 300W | Compact dual-slot design | Up to four cards in one workstation, or dense servers |
| Server Edition | Up to 600W, configurable | Air or liquid cooled, for servers | Rack-mounted GPU servers with four to eight cards |
We choose the edition to suit the build: the full Workstation Edition for single and dual-card workstations, the 300W Max-Q for four-card workstations, and the Server Edition for rack servers. Each system's specification shows which edition it uses.

What is an RTX PRO 6000 workstation for?
- Running and fine-tuning large language models locally: a 70-billion-parameter model at 8-bit precision fits on a single card
- GPU rendering of very large scenes in Redshift, Octane, V-Ray and Blender without running out of memory
- Engineering simulation, CFD and scientific computing that needs ECC memory
- Virtual production, Unreal Engine and real-time visualisation
- Data science and AI development, with Multi-Instance GPU to share one card between several users
One card or several?

One RTX PRO 6000 suits most single-user AI and rendering work. When you need more, the memory adds up quickly: two cards give 192GB, four give 384GB and eight give 768GB for software that spreads work across GPUs. See our dual RTX PRO 6000 systems, quad RTX PRO 6000 systems and 8-GPU RTX PRO 6000 servers, or browse all our multi-GPU servers.
RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell or RTX 5090?
The GeForce RTX 5090 is a superb card for the price, but it has 32GB of memory without ECC, and consumer drivers. Choose the RTX PRO 6000 when your models or scenes need more than 32GB on one card, when you need certified drivers for professional software, or when accuracy over long runs matters. If 32GB per card is enough and your software uses several GPUs, our dual RTX 5090 workstations are a cost-effective alternative.
RTX PRO 6000 questions
Is the RTX PRO 6000 the same as the RTX 6000 Ada?
No. The RTX 6000 Ada Generation is the previous model, with 48GB of GDDR6 memory. The RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell doubles that to 96GB of faster GDDR7 and adds Multi-Instance GPU and fifth-generation Tensor cores for AI.
Which RTX PRO 6000 edition should I choose?
For one or two cards in a workstation, the 600W Workstation Edition gives the most performance per card. For three or four cards in a workstation, the 300W Max-Q edition is designed to scale to four cards. For rack servers with four to eight cards, the Server Edition. We will recommend the right one for your build.
Can you game on an RTX PRO 6000?
Yes, it runs games and supports DLSS 4, but it is priced for professional work. If gaming is your main use, our RTX 5090 PCs give the same class of gaming performance for far less.
How much does an RTX PRO 6000 workstation cost?
Each system on this page shows its current price, and you can configure the processor, memory and storage to suit your budget. For multi-system or server orders, call us for a quote.
Do you build RTX PRO 6000 servers?
Yes. We build 2U and 4U rack servers with two, four or eight RTX PRO 6000 cards. See our multi-GPU servers.
Built to order and tested in the UK by Punch Technology, every system comes with a 3-year parts and labour warranty, backed by over 30 years of PC building experience. The estimated lead time for your configuration is shown when you order.
