A single black Thermalright TL-C12C-S in bulk packaging: a plain, capable 120mm ARGB fan without the box.

The TL-C12C-S is the fan Thermalright supplies on many of its coolers, and it works just as well as a case fan. It is a conventional 25mm-thick 120mm design with a black frame and translucent blades that diffuse the addressable lighting across the whole impeller. Under 4-pin PWM control it reaches 1550 RPM, where Thermalright rates it at 66.17 CFM, 1.53 mmH2O and 25.6 dBA, a profile that suits intakes, exhausts and lightly restricted radiators more than thick radiators or dense dust filters.

Bearing and noise

Thermalright’s S-FDB fluid dynamic bearing keeps the impeller stable in any orientation and limits noise at low speed. Rubber corner pads on the frame isolate vibration from the case panel. The fan weighs 120g and draws 0.20A.

Lighting and packaging

Lighting connects through a standard 3-pin 5V ARGB plug and is controlled by the motherboard’s software, with no proprietary hub needed. This is the bulk-packed version without a retail box, which suits builders buying several fans at once. Punch fits these in new builds and connects them to the motherboard’s ARGB header.
