A black low-profile cooler for the thinnest small-form-factor cases, with a 21mm heatsink and a 15mm slim fan.

The AXP90-X36 is the shortest member of Thermalright’s AXP90 family. Four 6mm heat pipes leave a nickel-plated C1100 copper base and spread into a 94.5 x 95mm aluminium fin stack that is only 21mm thick. A 92mm fan just 15mm deep sits on top, giving a total height of 36mm. The whole cooler weighs 230g with the fan fitted, and the black finish keeps it discreet inside a compact chassis.

Fan and noise

The TL-9015B fan runs up to 2700 RPM under PWM control, moving 42.58 CFM at 1.33mm-H2O static pressure with a quoted 22.4 dBA at full speed. It uses a hydraulic bearing and draws 0.18A from a standard 4-pin header. Because the fan blows down through the fins, it also cools the motherboard’s power stages and memory.

Compatibility

Mounting covers Intel LGA115X, 1200, 1700 and 1851 and AMD AM4 and AM5. Given its size it is best matched to 65W-class processors such as non-K Core i5 and Ryzen 5 parts in cases with very little CPU clearance. Punch Technology can fit it in a new small-form-factor build on request.
