Intel Core Ultra 5 Education PC – Built in the UK

The Core Ultra Small Form Factor Education PC is a compact, Intel-powered desktop built for classrooms, libraries and school offices.

The Intel Core Ultra 5 education PC is built around Intel’s Core Ultra 5 225 processor, a 10-core, 10-thread chip with a 3.3GHz base clock and boost speeds up to 4.9GHz, paired with the MSI PRO H810M-B motherboard inside InWin’s ultra-compact CJ708 8-litre chassis. At just 27.6 x 30.5 x 9.5cm (D x W x H), it is small enough to tuck onto a shelf or stand beside a monitor, yet capable enough for everyday classroom, library and administrative computing. As a UK-built Intel Core Ultra 5 education PC, it comes with Punch Technology’s education licensing support and full 3-year warranty.

In its default configuration, the Core Ultra Small Form Factor Education PC is built on an Intel Core Ultra 5 225 processor with 10 cores and 10 threads, using the Intel integrated graphics built into the processor. It has 16GB of DDR5 5600MHz memory (2 x 8GB) and a 256GB M.2 PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD, and it is supplied without an operating system. Every system carries a 3-year parts and labour warranty.

Fast, Reliable Storage

A 256GB NVMe M.2 SSD handles the operating system and everyday applications, with rated speeds of up to 3,000MB/s read and 1,300MB/s write. That means quick boot times and fast application loading for busy shared-use machines, well ahead of any mechanical hard drive.

Integrated Graphics for Everyday Computing

Graphics are handled by the Intel integrated graphics built into the Core Ultra 5 225 processor, with HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 outputs direct from the motherboard for up to two monitors. This is more than enough for office software, web browsing, video calls, and classroom presentation displays. It is not intended for gaming or GPU-intensive creative work.

Compact InWin CJ708 Chassis

The InWin CJ708 is an 8-litre small form factor case designed to disappear into a classroom or office setup, whether that’s under a desk, on a shelf or beside a monitor. The front panel carries a USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C port (20Gbps), giving fast, modern connectivity for USB-C peripherals without needing to reach round the back, while the rear adds 2 x USB Type-A (5Gbps) and 4 x USB 2.0 ports.

This system is fitted with an upgraded 350W InWin 80+ Platinum power supply rather than a standard-efficiency unit. For schools, that means lower running costs across a classroom or lab deployment and less heat generated during long teaching days.

Connectivity

This system is built for hard-wired lab and classroom networking, with a 2.5GbE LAN port (Realtek 8125) giving fast, reliable connections for school networks and shared drives. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are not fitted as standard, keeping the build simple and cost-effective for wired computer suites; a USB Wi-Fi adapter can be added if wireless connectivity is needed. Audio is covered by 7.1 HD Audio (Realtek ALC897) for classroom and conferencing use.

Windows Licensing for Schools

This PC is supplied without an operating system as standard, since most schools already hold their own Microsoft licensing. For qualifying schools, Punch Technology can supply Windows through the Microsoft National Academic Program at a discounted price, please contact us to confirm your school’s eligibility and current pricing.

Additional Services for Schools & Volume Orders

For schools and colleges ordering multiple units, Punch Technology offers a range of additional services to reduce IT workload before machines even leave our workshop:

  • On-site installation service for volume orders
  • Custom software installation and Windows imaging
  • Custom BIOS settings, including BIOS password protection and your school logo flashed into the BIOS to display on boot-up

Ideal for

  • Classroom and library workstations
  • School and college administrative offices
  • Multi-user computer suites

  • Everyday web, office and educational software use

Whether you’re refreshing a classroom suite or equipping a school office, the Intel Core Ultra 5 education PC delivers dependable everyday performance in a footprint that fits almost anywhere.

Built to order and tested in the UK by Punch Technology, every system comes with a 3-year parts and labour warranty, backed by over 30 years of PC building experience. The estimated lead time for your configuration is shown when you order.

What is the Core Ultra Small Form Factor Education PC best for?

The Core Ultra Small Form Factor Education PC is primarily a compact everyday desktop for classrooms, libraries, school offices and multi-user computer suites, where space and reliability matter more than raw graphics performance.

It comfortably runs Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams, web browsers, and common classroom software such as coding and digital literacy tools like Scratch. It is well suited to shared-use environments where several machines need to be deployed quickly and managed consistently, including school administrative offices and library catchup stations.

Where does the Core Ultra Small Form Factor Education PC sit in the range?

Below it in the range, the Value Ultra 5 Small Business PC uses the same Core Ultra 5 225 processor with 8GB of DDR5 memory and a 256GB SSD, while the AMD Ryzen 5 mATX Desktop PC offers a Ryzen 5 5600GT with 16GB of DDR4 and a 500GB SSD. Above it, the Core i5-12400, 16GB Ram, 500GB SSD, Wifi, Windows 11 Home and the Compact Ryzen Workstation both step up to 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 500GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. For classrooms or offices that need a discrete GPU for design or engineering software, our Workstation PC range is the better fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

What software can the Intel Core Ultra 5 education PC run?

It handles everyday classroom and office software comfortably, including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams and other video calling apps, web browsers, PDF and document tools, and lightweight educational software such as Scratch and typing tutors. Because it uses Intel integrated graphics rather than a discrete GPU, it is not intended for gaming or GPU-intensive creative applications such as video editing or 3D rendering.

Does this PC include Wi-Fi?

No, this system is designed for hard-wired lab and classroom networking, using the 2.5GbE wired Ethernet port rather than Wi-Fi. A USB Wi-Fi adapter can be added if wireless connectivity is required.

Can I upgrade the storage or memory later?

Yes. Both memory slots are currently filled with 8GB modules, and the RAM can be swapped for higher-capacity modules up to the motherboard’s 128GB maximum. The single M.2 slot holds the 256GB SSD, and the motherboard has four SATA 6Gb/s ports for additional storage. Because the PC is built to order, a larger SSD or more memory can also be chosen in the configurator.

Does this PC come with Windows included?

No, it ships without an operating system as standard, since most schools already hold their own Microsoft licensing. Qualifying schools can add Windows through the Microsoft National Academic Program at a discounted price, please contact us to confirm eligibility. Where Windows is supplied, it is provided genuine but not pre-activated; activation requires accepting the Microsoft End User Licence Agreement (EULA) on first use.

Who is this PC best suited for?

This PC is best suited to schools, colleges and universities equipping classrooms, libraries or administrative offices with reliable, space-saving desktops for everyday computing, rather than users who need gaming or creative-workload graphics performance.

What warranty is included?

Every Core Ultra Small Form Factor Education PC comes with a 3-year parts and labour warranty, built and tested in the UK, with free returns on warranty claims in the first year.
