The Gigabyte H810M S2H is built around Intel’s H810 chipset, the entry point to the LGA1851 platform for Core Ultra (Series 2) desktop processors. It is designed for value builds where the priorities are a modern processor, DDR5 memory and reliable everyday operation rather than overclocking or a large number of expansion slots. The Micro-ATX layout fits compact and mid-tower cases, and Punch can build it into an office or home PC with a Core Ultra processor and the memory and storage to suit.

Processor and power

The board takes Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) desktop processors in socket LGA1851 and uses a 4+1+2 phase VRM, which is appropriate for the 65W-class processors that an H810 board is intended for. It is not an overclocking platform; the H810 chipset runs processors at their stock settings, which suits business and home use where stability matters most.

Memory and graphics

Two DDR5 DIMM slots support up to 128GB in dual channel (64GB per module), with module speeds of up to 6400 MT/s and XMP profiles supported. The rear panel carries an HDMI 2.1 port (up to 4096×2160 at 60Hz), a DisplayPort 2.1 output (up to 3840×2160 at 60Hz) and a D-Sub port, all driven by the processor’s integrated graphics, with up to three displays usable at once. A PC built on this board therefore does not need a separate graphics card for office work, though a card can be added through the PCIe slot.

Expansion, storage and connectivity

A PCIe 4.0 x16 slot from the processor takes a graphics card or an NVMe SSD, and a PCIe 3.0 x1 slot from the chipset is available for a small add-in card. Storage is served by one M.2 2280 slot (PCIe 4.0 x4) and four SATA 6Gb/s ports. The rear panel has one USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, five USB 2.0 ports, a PS/2 port, a Gigabit Ethernet port on a Realtek controller and three audio jacks from the Realtek HD audio codec with 7.1-channel support and S/PDIF out. Internal headers add a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C header, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 header and a USB 2.0 header for front-panel ports, plus a CPU fan header, two system fan headers and two addressable RGB Gen2 headers.
