Gigabyte B860M Aorus Elite WiFi 6E LGA1851 Micro-ATX Motherboard
A compact B860 Micro-ATX board for Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors with DDR5, PCIe 5.0 graphics and storage, USB4 and Wi-Fi 6E.
The B860M Aorus Elite WiFi 6E brings Intel’s LGA1851 platform to a Micro-ATX footprint, so you can build a smaller Core Ultra system without losing current connectivity. It is aimed at gamers and general users who want a modern Intel platform in a mid-size or compact case, with a PCIe 5.0 graphics slot, a PCIe 5.0 NVMe slot, a USB4 port and built-in wireless. Punch can fit this board as part of a new custom PC if you prefer.
Processor and memory
The LGA1851 socket supports Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) desktop processors. Four DDR5 DIMM slots take up to 256GB (64GB per module) in dual channel, with Gigabyte listing module speeds from 5600MT/s up to 9200MT/s when overclocked.
Expansion and storage
The main graphics slot runs at PCIe 5.0 x16 and a second full-length slot runs at PCIe 4.0 x4 for a capture, network or storage card. Three M.2 slots are fitted: one from the processor at PCIe 5.0 x4 for the fastest NVMe drives (2280) and two from the chipset at PCIe 4.0 x4, one taking 2580 and 2280 drives and the other up to 25110 and 22110. Four SATA 6Gb/s ports cover hard drives and 2.5-inch SSDs.
Connectivity and audio
The rear panel carries a 40Gbps USB4 Type-C port from the processor with DisplayPort output, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, four USB 3.2 Gen 1 and four USB 2.0 ports, DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 outputs for the processor’s integrated graphics, a Realtek 2.5GbE LAN port, two audio jacks and an optical S/PDIF output. Wireless is Wi-Fi 6E on 2.4, 5 and 6GHz (Intel AX211 or Realtek RTL8852CE depending on PCB revision) with Bluetooth 5.3. Sound is handled by a Realtek HD audio codec supporting up to 7.1 channels. Internal headers add a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C front connector, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 header for two ports and two USB 2.0 headers for four ports, plus an onboard HDMI 1.4 header (Sensor Panel Link) for an in-case display.
Ideal for
- Compact Intel Core Ultra gaming or home PCs in a Micro-ATX case
- Builders who want USB4 and PCIe 5.0 NVMe without a full-size board
- Systems that need Wi-Fi 6E and 2.5GbE built in
