Out of the box the SPD is programmed to the JEDEC standard DDR5-4800 timing of 40-39-39 at 1.1V, so the modules will boot on any compatible board. Enable a profile for the rated speed: EXPO Profile 0 and XMP Profile 1 both set DDR5-6000 CL36-44-44 at 1.35V, while EXPO Profile 1 and XMP Profile 2 provide a DDR5-5600 CL40-40-40 fallback at 1.25V for boards or processors that are happier at a slightly lower speed.

Build quality and reliability

Each 288-pin DIMM uses gold contact fingers for a dependable connection, and DDR5 On-Die ECC corrects single-bit errors within the memory chips to improve stability. Standard voltages are VDD and VDDQ at 1.1V, VPP at 1.8V and VDDSPD at 1.8V to 2.0V. With the heatsink fitted each module stands 42.23mm (1.66in) tall, which is worth checking against the clearance under large air coolers.
