ASUS Prime H510M-E LGA1200 Micro-ATX DDR4 Motherboard (Open Box)
An open-box micro-ATX board for 10th and 11th Gen Intel Core processors with M.2 storage, Intel Gigabit LAN and three display outputs.
The ASUS Prime H510M-E is a compact LGA1200 motherboard on Intel’s H510 chipset, supporting 10th and 11th Gen Intel Core, Pentium Gold and Celeron processors. It is the sort of board that goes into a great many office and home PCs: two DDR4 slots, one M.2 slot, four SATA ports, Intel wired networking and a full set of video outputs for integrated graphics. This unit is an open-box return that has been checked and is complete. It suits a replacement board for an existing LGA1200 system, a low-cost build around a Core i3 or i5, or a small server or media PC.
Processor and memory
Two DDR4 DIMM slots support up to 64GB in dual-channel mode. ASUS lists speeds of 2133 to 2933MHz as standard and 3200MHz with overclocked memory, the achievable speed depending on the processor fitted. The board carries ASUS’s usual protective touches including LANGuard, over-voltage protection and stainless-steel back I/O.
Expansion and storage
The PCIe x16 slot runs at PCIe 4.0 with an 11th Gen processor and PCIe 3.0 with a 10th Gen one, and two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots take small add-in cards. The M.2 slot accepts 2242, 2260 or 2280 drives in either PCIe 3.0 x4 or SATA mode (a SATA M.2 drive disables one of the SATA ports), and four SATA 6Gb/s ports handle hard drives and 2.5-inch SSDs.
Connectivity
The rear panel has DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 and D-Sub outputs, so a processor with Intel UHD graphics can drive up to three monitors without a graphics card; HDMI runs at 4K 60Hz with an 11th Gen processor and 4K 30Hz with a 10th Gen one. There are two USB 3.2 Gen 1 and two USB 2.0 ports, separate PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports, an Intel I219-V Gigabit Ethernet port and audio jacks from a Realtek 7.1-channel codec. Internal headers add two USB 3.2 Gen 1 and four USB 2.0 ports for the case front panel. Punch can fit this board in a new build or supply it on its own.
