A single white Phanteks D30 fan with a 30mm frame, integrated D-RGB lighting and daisy-chain cabling.

The D30-120 is Phanteks’ premium addressable-RGB fan, derived from the T30 performance fan. Its 30mm-deep frame gives the seven blades more working depth than a standard 25mm fan, which is how it reaches 64.3 CFM and 3.01 mmH2O of static pressure at 2000 RPM while dropping to 250 RPM under PWM control at idle. The single pack suits topping up a build that already has D30 fans, filling an exhaust position or adding one fan to a 120mm radiator, and the white frame matches Phanteks’ white cases and the rest of the white D30 range.

Daisy-chain connections

The 4-pin PWM and 3-pin JST D-RGB connectors both pass through to the next fan, so up to four D30 fans can share a single fan header and a single 5V ARGB header. A D-RGB mainboard adapter, corner and bridge clips and screw covers are in the box, and lighting is controlled by the motherboard’s software; Aura Sync, RGB Fusion 2.0, Mystic Light, Polychrome Sync and Razer Chroma are supported.

Lighting and reliability

Thirty addressable LEDs light the frame and blades from every side, so the fan looks right as either intake or exhaust. The fluid dynamic bearing is rated at 50,000 hours MTBF and the fan carries a three-year warranty. UNC 6-32 and M4 radiator screws are included. Punch can fit this fan in a new build and configure the lighting before dispatch.
