A 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler from be quiet! with a PWM-controlled six-pole pump and daisy-chained Pure Wings 3 fans, aimed at quiet systems with a mild overclock.

The Pure Loop 3 240mm keeps the plain black look of the earlier Pure Loop coolers and updates the internals. The pump now uses a six-pole motor under full PWM control, adjustable from 3000 to 5500 RPM, so it can be slowed right down when the processor is idle. The two Pure Wings 3 120mm high-speed fans are daisy-chained, leaving a single fan cable to route, and the flexible sleeved tubes are 400mm long. A refill port is built into the radiator for topping up over the cooler’s life.

Cooling and noise

The fans run up to 2100 RPM, each moving 59.6 CFM at 2.41mm-H2O static pressure on a rifle bearing rated for 80,000 hours. be quiet! quotes 15.4 dB(A) at half speed, 27.3 dB(A) at 75% and 35.2 dB(A) at full speed, which places it among the quieter 240mm coolers when set to a sensible curve. The radiator is aluminium, measuring 277 x 120 x 27mm without the fans, and the cold plate is copper.

Compatibility and fitting

Mounting kits cover Intel LGA1851, 1700, 1200, 1151, 1150 and 1155 and AMD AM5 and AM4. The radiator measures 277 x 120 x 52mm with the fans on, the pump block is 68.5 x 93.4 x 44.9mm and the whole cooler weighs 1.02kg. It carries a three-year manufacturer’s warranty.
