A slim, top-down AMD cooler with an addressable RGB fan, rated for processors up to 95W.

The Vegas Chroma AM is a compact air cooler for AMD desktop processors. A 120mm fan sits on top of a black anodised aluminium heatsink and blows straight down through the fins, which also pushes air over the motherboard’s power circuitry and memory. The whole assembly is 63mm tall, so it fits where tower coolers cannot, and it weighs only 340g.

Cooling and noise

The PWM fan runs between 500 and 1800 RPM, moving up to 51.3 CFM with a static pressure of 1.62mm-H2O. Akasa quotes 17.5 dB(A) at the low end and 32.5 dB(A) at full speed, so it is quiet at idle and only becomes noticeable under a sustained load. The cooler is rated for a 95W TDP, which covers Ryzen 3, Ryzen 5 and the 65W Ryzen 7 parts.

Lighting

The fan blades are lit by addressable RGB LEDs fed from a standard 3-pin 5V header, and the lighting syncs with Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light, ASUS Aura, ASRock Polychrome and Razer Chroma. It mounts with a retention clip and screw fastener on AM3+, AM4 and AM5 sockets.
