5800Mbps 11be Triple Band PCIe Wi-Fi 7 / Bluetooth 5.4
A Fenvi PCIe card built on the Intel BE200 module, bringing tri-band Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 to a desktop PC.
Wi-Fi 7 is the current top of the wireless ladder. Compared with Wi-Fi 6E it adds 320MHz channels on the 6GHz band, 4096-QAM modulation and Multi-Link Operation, which together roughly double peak speed and cut latency. The Fenvi FV-BE8800 puts Intel’s Wi-Fi 7 BE200 module on a PCIe card with a heatsink and two external antennas, so a desktop can take full advantage of a Wi-Fi 7 router now and still connect to any older router at that router’s best speed.
Performance
The BE200 is a 2×2 module rated by Intel at up to 5.8Gbps using a 320MHz channel on the 6GHz band; Fenvi quotes a combined 8774Mbps across the three bands. The 6GHz band is uncongested and ideal for a PC in the same room as the router, while 5GHz and 2.4GHz remain available for range. With a Wi-Fi 7 router the card can use several bands at once through Multi-Link Operation, which is what makes the difference for cloud gaming, video conferencing and large transfers to a NAS.
Bluetooth and compatibility
Bluetooth 5.4 handles headsets, controllers and peripherals and connects via an internal USB header cable. The card fits any PCIe slot. One important restriction: the Intel BE200 module works on Intel-based motherboards only and is not supported on AMD platforms; Punch’s configurator only offers this card with compatible boards. Windows 10 or 11 64-bit or Linux is required. An equivalent Wi-Fi 7 card of the same class may be substituted if supply requires, and Punch fits and tests the card in every build.
