Phanteks D30-120 D-RGB PWM 120mm Fan Black
A 30 mm thick premium 120mm fan with daisy-chained PWM and D-RGB connections and bridge clips that join fans into a single frame.
The Phanteks D30-120 borrows the thick 30 mm frame and aerodynamic seven-blade design of the company’s T30 performance fan and adds full-frame D-RGB lighting. It is a single black fan for people who want to add one more to a set, or start a set that can be bridged together later. The extra depth over a standard 25 mm fan gives it more static pressure, so it works well on radiators and behind mesh front panels and dust filters, not just as a plain case fan.
Airflow and noise
The fan is PWM controlled between 250 and 2000 rpm, so it can spin very slowly at idle. At full speed Phanteks quotes 64.3 CFM, 3.01 mm-H2O and 30.2 dB(A). A fluid dynamic bearing rated for 50,000 hours keeps it quiet over time, and it draws no more than 1.8 W on the fan side, with the LEDs drawing up to 0.45 A.
Connectivity
Both the 4-pin PWM lead (700 mm) and the 3-pin JST D-RGB lead (600 + 100 mm) are daisy-chain types, so several D30 fans can be linked and run from one motherboard fan header and one addressable RGB header. A D-RGB mainboard adapter is included. Up to four fans can be joined physically with the supplied bridge clips, and screw covers hide the fixings for a clean look.
Lighting
Thirty LEDs light the frame from all sides, and the lighting runs from a Phanteks controller or any standard 5V addressable RGB header. Phanteks provides a three-year limited warranty. Punch can fit it in a new build alongside other D30 fans or a Glacier One D30 cooler.
