ADATA’s Premier series is its standard, no-frills memory line, and this 4GB DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM is the smallest module Punch fits. It is intended for compact systems that use the 260-pin laptop memory format, such as mini PCs, thin clients, some all-in-one chassis and notebooks, where a modest amount of memory is enough for light desktop work or where the module is being added alongside an existing stick.
Performance
DDR4-2400 at CL17 is a JEDEC standard speed, so the module runs at full rated speed in any compatible system without BIOS changes. ADATA lists support for Intel Coffee Lake, Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X processors and AMD AM4 and TR4 platforms, and any later platform that accepts DDR4-2400 SO-DIMMs will also run it. 4GB is suitable for a basic Windows or Linux installation, web browsing and office documents; pair it with a second module for 8GB and dual-channel operation.
Efficiency and reliability
The module operates at 1.2V, around 20% less power than DDR3, which reduces heat and extends battery life in notebooks. ADATA uses a high-quality PCB for stable signalling, rates the module for 0°C to 85°C operation and backs it with a limited lifetime warranty.
Compatibility
This is a standard 260-pin DDR4 SO-DIMM and does not fit the 288-pin desktop DIMM slots found on ATX and micro-ATX boards. Check that your system uses SO-DIMM memory before ordering. Punch can fit it in a new mini PC or all-in-one build.
