Akasa Vegas R7 120mm RGB LED Case Fan
A quiet 120mm case fan with frosted blades and motherboard-controlled 12V RGB lighting.
The Akasa Vegas R7 is a straightforward RGB case fan for builders who want colour-changing lighting without buying a separate controller. Its LEDs are embedded in the frame and shine through seven translucent frosted blades, and the lighting is driven from a standard 12V 4-pin RGB header so it can be synchronised with ASUS Aura, MSI Mystic Light and Gigabyte RGB Fusion. It suits a first RGB build or adding a matching fan to a system that already uses 12V RGB strips or fans.
Airflow and noise
The fan runs at a fixed 1500 rpm on a 3-pin connector, moving 35.2 CFM at 1.04 mm-H2O of static pressure with a quoted 23.8 dB(A). That makes it best used as a case intake or exhaust rather than on a dense radiator. Rubber damping pads on the corners reduce vibration noise through the case panels. Because it is a 3-pin fan, speed control needs a motherboard header that supports DC voltage control.
Connectivity
Two leads come off the fan: a 3-pin fan connector and a 4-pin 12V RGB connector, with a 4-pin to 5-pin adapter included for boards that use the older 5-pin RGB header layout. The fan draws 0.12 A and the LEDs 0.33 A at 12 V. Note that this is 12V RGB, not 5V addressable RGB, so all LEDs show the same colour at once.
Build quality
The fluid dynamic bearing is rated for 40,000 hours and Akasa provides a two-year warranty. Punch can fit it as an extra or replacement fan in a new build.
