The Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro SL is the low-profile version of Corsair’s popular Vengeance RGB Pro line. This white 2 x 8GB kit is intended for white-themed gaming PCs on DDR4 platforms, giving dual-channel bandwidth at 3600MHz with the visual polish of ten individually addressable RGB LEDs per module. It suits mid-range gaming builds on Intel 10th to 12th generation and AMD Ryzen 3000 and 5000 series platforms, where DDR4-3600 is the sweet spot for memory performance.
Performance
Each module is built on Corsair’s custom performance PCB with tightly screened memory chips and is tested at 3600MT/s, CL18 and 1.35V. A single BIOS setting enables the Intel XMP 2.0 profile; without it the kit boots at the SPD speed of 2133MHz. Corsair notes the kit is optimised for Intel 500 and 600 series and AMD 500 series and X570 boards, and that maximum speed depends on the motherboard and processor.
Lighting and software
The RGB light bar on each module is controlled through Corsair iCUE, which can synchronise the memory with Corsair fans, coolers and keyboards or run its own effects. Lighting works on any board; iCUE only needs a spare USB header for the rest of the ecosystem, not for the memory itself.
Compatibility and build
At 44mm tall the SL heatspreader sits under almost every tower air cooler, which is the main reason to choose it over the taller standard Vengeance RGB Pro. The white aluminium heatspreader pairs with white cases and coolers. Corsair covers the kit with a limited lifetime warranty. Punch can fit it in a new DDR4 build.
