MSI PRO B760M-P DDR4 LGA1700 Micro-ATX Motherboard
A no-frills micro-ATX board for 12th to 14th Gen Intel Core processors with DDR4 memory, PCIe 4.0 and two M.2 slots.
The MSI PRO B760M-P DDR4 sits in MSI’s PRO range, which is aimed at business and everyday desktops rather than enthusiast builds. It supports Intel Core 12th, 13th and 14th Gen processors on the LGA1700 socket, plus Pentium Gold and Celeron chips, and uses DDR4 memory so you can reuse existing modules or buy cheaper kits. The micro-ATX layout fits most mid-tower and compact cases. It is a good fit for an office PC, a home computer or a modest gaming build where the budget is better spent on the processor, memory and graphics card than on motherboard extras.
Processor and memory
Four DDR4 DIMM slots take up to 128GB. MSI lists JEDEC speeds up to 3200MHz and overclocked profiles up to 4800MHz, with the achievable maximum depending on how many modules and ranks are fitted; a single module per channel reaches the highest figures.
Expansion and storage
The PCIe x16 slot runs at PCIe 4.0 from the processor and two PCIe 4.0 x1 slots from the chipset take smaller add-in cards. Two M.2 slots support PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe drives at up to 64Gbps in 2242, 2260 or 2280 sizes (the chipset slot also accepts SATA M.2 drives, which disables one SATA port), and four SATA 6Gb/s ports cover hard drives and 2.5-inch SSDs.
Connectivity
The rear panel has a USB Type-C port at 10Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 2), one USB Type-A port at 5Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 1), four USB 2.0 ports and a PS/2 keyboard/mouse port, with HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.4 and D-Sub outputs for processors with integrated graphics, so it can drive three monitors without a graphics card. Internal headers add two more USB 5Gbps ports and four USB 2.0 ports for the case front panel. Networking is a Realtek RTL8111H Gigabit Ethernet port and audio is a Realtek ALC897 codec with 7.1-channel output. Punch can fit this board in a new build or supply it on its own.
Ideal for
- Office and business desktops on 12th to 14th Gen Intel Core
- Home PCs that reuse DDR4 memory
- Compact builds needing two NVMe slots and three display outputs
