Gigabyte B760 DS3H AX DDR4 ATX Motherboard (Open Box, No I/O Shield)
An open-box ATX board for 12th to 14th Gen Intel Core processors that keeps DDR4 memory and adds PCIe 4.0, two M.2 slots and Wi-Fi 6E.
The Gigabyte B760 DS3H AX DDR4 is a full-size ATX motherboard on the LGA1700 socket, supporting Intel Core 12th, 13th and 14th Gen processors along with Pentium Gold and Celeron chips. Choosing the DDR4 version lets you carry existing memory over or buy cheaper DDR4 kits while still getting PCIe 4.0 for the graphics card and NVMe drives. This particular unit is an open-box return: the board has been checked and is complete apart from the rear I/O shield, which is not included. It suits a buyer who is happy to run without the shield or source one separately and wants a well-specified Intel board at a lower outlay.
Processor and memory
The B760 chipset covers the full LGA1700 range. Four DDR4 DIMM sockets take up to 128GB (32GB per module), and Gigabyte lists XMP profiles up to 5333MHz with overclocked memory. Four slots make it easy to start with two modules and add more later.
Expansion and storage
The primary PCIe x16 slot runs at PCIe 4.0 x16 from the processor, and four further x16-length slots from the chipset run at PCIe 3.0 x1, so sound, capture, network and other small cards can be fitted without crowding the graphics card. There are two M.2 connectors, both PCIe 4.0 x4: one from the CPU accepting 22110 or 2280 drives and one from the chipset for 2280 drives. Four SATA 6Gb/s ports handle hard drives and 2.5-inch SSDs.
Connectivity
The AX in the name means wireless is built in. Gigabyte fits a different Wi-Fi 6E module depending on the PCB revision: an AMD RZ608 (MediaTek MT7921K) with Bluetooth 5.2 on rev 1.0, and Intel AX210, Intel AX211 or Realtek RTL8852CE modules with Bluetooth 5.3 on revisions 1.1 to 1.3, all covering 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz with two SMA antenna connectors on the rear panel. Wired networking is a Realtek Gigabit port. The rear panel also has a USB Type-C port at 20Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 2×2), a red USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, four USB 2.0 ports, a PS/2 port and HDMI and DisplayPort outputs for processors with integrated graphics, with 8-channel HD audio. Internal headers add a front-panel USB Type-C (USB 3.2 Gen 1), two further USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and four USB 2.0 ports, and there are six fan and pump headers and two addressable and two standard RGB headers. Punch can fit this board in a new build if you would rather not install it yourself.
Ideal for
- Intel 12th to 14th Gen builds reusing DDR4 memory
- ATX cases where extra slots and four DIMMs are wanted
- Buyers who need Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth without an add-in card
