The FRAME 4000D is Corsair’s successor to the popular 4000D, rebuilt around a modular chassis whose panels, fan trays and drive mounts can be removed or repositioned. It takes everything from Mini-ITX up to E-ATX boards (305 x 277mm), supports reverse-connector motherboards for a cleaner cable-free look, and ships without fans so you choose the cooling that suits the components. It is aimed at gamers and enthusiasts who want a large, well-ventilated case with plenty of room to grow.

Cooling and clearances

The front, top and side positions each take 360mm, 280mm or 240mm radiators, with the rear taking 120mm or 140mm. Fan mounts allow 3x 120mm or 2x 140mm front (or 2x 200mm), 3x 120mm or 2x 140mm top and side, 2x 120mm bottom and one rear fan. The 3D Y-pattern steel front panel and dust filtration keep intake airflow high. There is 430mm of graphics-card length and 170mm of CPU cooler height.

Build and layout

Seven horizontal expansion slots can be swapped for three vertical slots, ATX power supplies up to 220mm fit under the shroud, and there is 37mm of cable routing space behind the tray. Front I/O provides USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports and a combined audio jack. The left panel is tempered glass, the right is steel. Punch can fit the FRAME 4000D and a matching fan set in any new build.
