Thermalright AXP90-X53 Black Low-Profile CPU Cooler (53mm)

A black low-profile cooler with a taller fin stack than the AXP90-X36, giving more cooling capacity while still fitting under a 55mm ceiling.

The AXP90-X53 uses the same 94.5 x 95mm footprint and four 6mm heat pipes as the rest of the AXP90 family, but its aluminium fin stack is 38mm tall rather than 21mm. With the 15mm slim fan on top the total height is 53mm, which suits small-form-factor cases that allow a little more room than the very thinnest designs. The base is nickel-plated C1100 copper and the cooler weighs 330g with the fan.

Fan and noise

The TL-9015B 92mm fan runs up to 2700 RPM under PWM control, moving 42.58 CFM at 1.33mm-H2O static pressure with a quoted 22.4 dBA at full speed. It uses a hydraulic bearing and draws 0.18A from a standard 4-pin header. As a down-draught design it also directs air over the board’s power stages and memory.

Compatibility

Mounting covers Intel LGA115X, 1200, 1700 and 1851 and AMD AM4 and AM5. The extra fin area makes it a better fit than the X36 for 65W processors that will spend long periods under load. Punch Technology can fit it in a new small-form-factor build on request.
