Thermalright Burst Assassin 120 SE ARGB Six-Heat-Pipe CPU Cooler
A slim single-tower air cooler with six heat pipes and an addressable RGB fan, sized to clear tall memory on most boards.
The Burst Assassin 120 SE ARGB puts six 6mm heat pipes through a single fin stack that is only 52mm wide, so the cooler stays clear of the memory slots on the majority of ATX and micro-ATX motherboards. At 148mm tall it fits the great majority of mid-tower cases, and the whole unit weighs 510g. The base plate is copper, giving the heat pipes a solid contact with the processor.
Fan and noise
Cooling is handled by a Thermalright TL-C12C-S 120mm fan running up to 1550 RPM under PWM control. It moves 66.17 CFM at 1.53mm-H2O static pressure with a quoted 25.6 dBA at full speed, and rides on an S-FDB bearing for long life. The fan’s addressable RGB lighting connects to a 3-pin 5V header and is controlled by the motherboard’s lighting software.
Compatibility
Mounting hardware is included for Intel LGA115X, 1200, 1700 and 1851 and for AMD AM4 and AM5, so it covers current Core, Core Ultra and Ryzen desktop processors. It is a sensible step up from a stock cooler for Core i5 and Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 chips. Punch Technology can fit it in a new build on request.
Ideal for
- Mid-range gaming and home office PCs
- Boards with tall memory modules
- Builders who want ARGB on a budget
